B*I*N*G*O…

My latest find…

I have been looking for on of these book racks for a while and hit the jackpot at a resell shop. I got it for $7.00. Pottery Barnish? HECK YEA!

We had our first sight of snow today. Not much and it didnt stick but it was white 🙂

Have you ever had a moment when an invention or a thought of a cool product comes into your mind for a split second and then it is forgotten? Well I had that happen to me about 2 weeks ago. I remembered a time in the 80’s at a craft show, there was a lady selling hair tie thingies, similar to a head band but different. She had made them out of telephone wire and covered them with fabric so you could twist them in your hair and make different styles with it. Very basic but she was making a killing at the craft show and told me that she was selling them like hotcakes across the country. This was the 80’s and before the wonderful invention of the internet.
Well, I thought about her product the other day and thought to myself that it would be cool to reinvent the hair tie thingie to be more modern. I couldn’t even begin to tell you why I thought of the craft show and the hair thingie that I bought from the lady, maybe cause I was blow drying my hair, I don’t know. The thought came in and out within a second and then it was forgotten.

So today I went to the amazing Heather Bailey’s blog and seen her awesome news on her new product invention and the thought that came in and out of my mind, only 2 weeks ago, is seen in creation…
Trash Ties
Congrats Heather! I LOVE your product! Just in time for Christmas too 🙂 Be sure to go over and buy tons of them as gifts cause they are too cute!

Has this scenerio ever happened to you? It does to me too often and then I am kicking myself when I realize that I forgot the thought way too quickly and someone else took the same thought and ran with it, lol. I guess I had better start paying attention to myself way more then I am. If I could only have enough ME time to do that 🙂

I did find enough time to do this lo this weekend 🙂 Enjoy!

Tonight we went to the tree lighting downtown. It was very nice, not too chilly and not too crowded and the children had a great time, even though Blake cried most of the time. He usually does that when we are trying to have a great time. I got a few shots but not too many because my night shooting isn’t that great.

Yesterday I went on a Christmas shopping spree with my bff. We had a blast. My obsession with Thomas The Tank Engine is getting out of control. I know Blake loves his choo-choos but I think my obsessive collector disorder is defiantly kicking in. I mean I haven’t had this obsessive feeling since I used to hunt down Beanie Babies back when Krista was little. My sister and I used to camp out at the stores waiting for the doors to open. It was so much fun but very ridiculous, even more so now that they are not worth anything. BUT, I just know that our Thomas collection will be worth something in the future right, I mean a train set that cost hundreds of dollars per set has to hold it’s value. RIGHT? lol. Really, I don’t care about the value holding because Blake enjoys them so very much. I am however hunting down and paying top dollar for all retired pieces, lol.

Also, thanks everyone for sharing your celebratory thoughts with me. They were all very touching. I let Abbey pick a name and for my RAK winner, she chose Jennifer! Please Jennifer contact me with your addy so I can get it right out to you.

I hope everyone has a very blessed weekend. Check in with me soon, you never know what I might want to share 😉

Celebration!

So many reasons to celebrate…

My mom is doing well, she has her very bad days but she is doing so much better than expected considering her serious condition.

We had an awesome fall on Thanksgiving Day so the trees that you see in the pics below are now totally bare. Our Thanksgiving was filled with friends and family and a GREAT turkey dinner.

We got the “coming soon” banner for the new store up and everything looks great!

I made my 2 year anniversary on my blog and didn’t even notice until now.

Sooooooo… for all of these things to celebrate in my life, I will include you, my dear scrapbooking friends and blog readers, in my celebration with a RAK. A BIG rak!

To enter for the RAK please leave me a comment telling me what YOU have to celebrate. I will pick a name by Friday and announce the winner her in case I can’t get you via email. So check back to see who won, it might just be you and I promise you will have reason to celebrate 😉

Here are a few lo’s that I had not posted yet. Enjoy and have fun!

My View…

This are our views when we look at any window in our home. It seems like with this being our first fall back home, the leaves look even more beautiful, way more vivid in color.
What a blessing!

It’s that time of the year again. The ladybugs are in full force at our house and totally taking over. If it is true that ladybugs are good luck then we are going to have a ton of luck coming our way. Every year about this time our house gets swamped with ladybugs and they find their way into our home. I hope you can see them in the pics, they are so cool marching around outside and inside of our house. We also are being attacked by wasp inside the house and that is driving me nuts!
Have a great weekend!

But good, good, good shopper….

I have been looking and looking for a train table for the kids and really wanted the PBK table but didnt want to spend a ton of money on it because I wasnt sure how long we would use it. So I found this one this weekend for $15. I LOVE IT!…

OMG!

Have I been gone this long???? Honestly? I never imagined that it had been since July since my last post. If I DO have any more readers out there, here’s a little of what I’ve been up to…

We are very blessed. Things are great. I miss all of my friends here.

Homeschooling…Is going very well

Business…Is going very well

Our Lives…Are pretty near perfect!

The leaves are turning and falling, it is beautiful.

I have been hitting so many yard sales it is ridiculous. I don’t know where or when my crazed habit for thrifting started because my mom is not that “type”, but I AM!

Scrapbooking…Enjoying it still!

Here is a peek at one of my deals of the century and I think only a scrapbooker can appreciate it. I found this baby at a local thrift shop.

Actually my dh found it and boy was I a very happy girl. I just knew that I married him for more than his sexy bod and gorgeous blue eyes 😉
This is THE HP cp 1700 color inkjet printer! Yes! It prints in 13×19 + It may be a retired model at HP but when it did retail new it was a very expensive printer. Guess, just guess, how much I got it for????

$24.00!!!!!

Can you believe that! I was thrilled to say the least!

Well I will try my best to update more frequently. I am hardly at my computer anymore but I will do my best to make time 🙂

See you soon 🙂

I wanna Party Like a Rockstar!!! I am sooooo excited. God is so good! Look what we got today! The most exciting part, is the GREAT deal we got on it! It is a LATE 2006, fully loaded LTZ, plus extra tail lights and extra tires and wheels AND we got it way below market value 🙂 She is the sweetest ride with super dark tint on the windows. I love it more then I did my Sequoia, lol.
I must crown myself queen of finding great deals. We got it from a couple who had bought a new truck so they didn’t need this one anymore, they were very nice 🙂 Anyway, feast your eyes on this baby….

Even with everything going on in our lives, I still found the time and energy to take a few shots of the b/day boy. They were not very planned but I think I got a few good ones, even though we were just playing around in his room 🙂

These are typical Blake shots, lol. Poor baby, he thought that I was telling him to stand in the corner when I was telling him to stand back away from the camera, lol. I took it as a perfect photo op. And yet, of course, a typical grumpy Blake shot that tells me it’s time to stop 🙂
Also wanted to include the last pic of his and what used to be Abbey’s crib. That crib is a special find and will be retiring after Blake is done with it.

For all you deal finders out there, that is a $600 crib that I found brand new for $100 at a resale boutique before Abbey was born.

Thanks for your prayers, they are helping and I will sing praises to Jesus for the blessings he has shown us this week. One of the major challenges that we faced this week was overcome on yesterday and let me tell you, it was a BIG one. God def. has a plan for us and even though this has all been going on for over 2 yrs, I know it is getting nearer. I will always trust in Him and His word. Thank you for your prayers!
